How Do You Reveal Your Talent?
Heaven Hi!!!
We all know Hollywood can be a hard town to break into, but the real fact is that does not need to be true. In a recent interview, Marc Hirschfeld talked about how he handles casting for NBC studio shows. He has been most recently known for casting Hayden Pannatierre for her cheerleading role in Heroes, as well as Michelle Ryan for Bionic women. Hirschfeld talked about how to get your name out there and to simply let people know that you exist, or in Acting For Real terms “Busting out of your comfort zones, and being in BOP (Balanced Observant and Present). He says networks are always looking for people to fit the particular role they are looking for.
People need to be aware of their own talent, take ownership of themselves, and most of all trust it. The same principles apply for everyone in every day life. Most people are so hindered with negative feedback, self talk, just doing the day to day thing, because they don’t believe that anybody would ever use their talents. They feel that the safe way or “zone zombie” way is the best way to go about life, but at the same time feel the need to better their lives. In my book, Acting For Real, I talk about who on of the first steps to leading a more successful life is to break out of your comfort zones. In order to even know if you have talent you need to start living your life differently than the safe life where your talents were never utilized. Take ownership of your life. Let people know who you are and what your talents may be. Tap into your funny zone. Tell a joke. Flirt constantly because life’s a dance, and you need to be on cue. Learn how to be the star in all the characters you play in life.
Take the casting call on our website and find out the different characters you are in life and start making a change. You will value life more, breath sweeter air, and lead a life of success that will encompass every aspect of living. Most of all know let people know you exist. Let people know that you are the star and it is time you realize it.
Be BOP!!!
